Building Inspection Checklist
Track every mandatory building control inspection for your project. Select your work type to generate a checklist showing what the inspector will check at each stage, how to prepare, and common issues to avoid.
How building control inspections work
Once you have building regulations approval, you are responsible for notifying your local authority building control (LABC) or private approved inspector at each key stage. The inspector visits, checks compliance, and either approves or flags issues. Work cannot be covered up until each stage is signed off.
Missing an inspection stage can mean you are required to open up completed work at your own cost. Always call ahead to your building control team before covering up any structural, drainage, or insulation work.
